Art has always been and will forever be my outlet. It has the ability to capture a moment, express emotions, and represent one's identity. For as long as I can remember I have wanted to pursue creativity and be able to speak joy when others though my passions. This has led me to work in Events, I am able to take a blank room and turn it into a place where memories are made. Taking the ideas from young girls' scrapbooks and turning their dreams into reality is by far the best part of my job.
In my future I aim to combine my love for graphic design, events styling, and photography into one; being able to provide the full experience from couples wanting to marry. Capturing posed or candid moments of true happiness, excitement, and love is just such a beautiful thing.
My current aspirations for my portrait photography is to explore abstract concepts, the relevance of social or political issues in art and the power art can have over people. I enjoy combining abstract elements into portrait photography through editing, visual aids, forced perspective, and graphics.
Juxtaposition, it is something that I strive for in art. The aesthetic of not belonging or being out of place is quite prevalent in today's current social and political climate. There is an urge amongst Gen Z to express themselves in various ways throughout life, most notably in fashion, music, and art. I personally take quite a bit of inspiration from Mattew Healy the songwriter and lead singer in ‘The 1975’. The band is able to spark a discussion about suicide, mental illness, gun violence in America, and climate change in a digestible way, by contrasting political topics with various genres of music. Their music is crowded but yet raw. The concept of organized chaos, cluttered by minimalistic, confusing but logical is something that I inspire my art to be.

Creativity has played a significant role in my life and upbringing. When I was young my aunt was in school for digital art and media, this was when I was first exposed to the concept of photography. I aspired to be like her, I would sit and watch her edit photos or create graphic designs. I was lucky enough to grow up in an environment where creativity was encouraged and supported, I believe this has led me to pursue art today.
